The year: 2019. The place: Los Angeles. Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is a former LAPD Blade Runner called out of retirement to stop a crew of "replicants," androids that have been relegated to slave labor on remote planets. They've escaped to Earth to find a way to extend their short life spans. During the mission, Deckard gets romantically entangled with Rachel (Sean Young), a replicant who's oblivious to her humanoid heredity.
