Based on the Nick Hornby novel, this film is a clever, funny tribute to the music scene. Dumped by his girlfriend, Laura (Iben Hjejle), record store owner Rob Gordon (John Cusack) is left to figure out where things went wrong. As he tries to win her back, he revisits his top five breakups of all time and asks his former lovers why they dumped him. Along the way, he discovers that there's more to love than a good mix tape.
